About the Writer

My name is Jennifer and I’m the writer here at the Awakening Blog.

I believe that words hold incredible power. The power to bless, to encourage, to inspire, to challenge, to teach.

Written words can open doors to worlds in which our imagination can soar and we can be carried away to other places and times and possibilities.

My favorite fictional books are ones in which the writer creates a world from nothing and fills it with magic and meaning drawing beautiful parallels between that world and our own. Words that make us feel deeply, think critically and give us a sense of wonder at the world around us.

I am passionate about writing pieces that highlight that wonder, the profound beauty, creativity, and purposefulness of the Bible.
I desire to create visual and tactile explorations into the stories in scripture. Stories that help us to see clearly the redemption possible through the gospel at work in our lives.

And finally, my desire for this space is that it be full of good words, encouraging words, truthful words and I pray they communicate the gospel with courage, love, and truth.
